Working Yourself into a Stroke
A recent article on Very WellMind.com reported on a University of Michigan study which found that men who were more physiologically reactive to stress (as measured by high blood pressure) were 72% more likely to suffer a stroke. A recent study of 6553 Japanese male and female workers examined job stress levels and found that men (though not women) in jobs that involved high demands and lower levels of personal control (in other words, more stressful jobs) were at greater stroke risk, even after controlling for variables like age, educational attainment, occupation, smoking status, alcohol consumption, physical activity, and study area. Autism Treatment Study
A recent study done in April 2014, published in the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, had some very exciting results and conclusions. Autism represents a multi-factorial highly prevalent disorder of the developing human neocortex with no clear treatments. Trans-magnetic stimulation with customized frequency has been safe in the treatment of certain frontal lobe behavioral disorders. We hypothesize behavioral improvements in autism behaviors via TMS with customized frequency modulation. 44 patients underwent TMS with customized frequency modulation. Serial EEGs were used to modify frequency delivered using resting alpha frequency combined with resting heart rate.
